Abstract: This study sought to determine what constituted effective greenery, the problemes encountered and desires for future greenery projects of miscellaneous space in various facilities. The facilities questioned were in general agreement in regard to establishing and nurturing green areas, problems faced in regard to maintenance fee and staff, and the need for a soil amendment and maintenance. The major types of institutions polled were schools seeking to educate amid a natural environment, facilities with large public access which desire a amenity of neighboring and regional environment, and factories and offices, where importance is placed on improved quality of greenery and harmony with the surrounding landscape. Facilities emphasized the multiple aspects of greenery that lend both landscape and utilitarian benefits.
